Erin Rachel Whittaker passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the age of 29, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with an illness. She was born on November 9, 1996, in Centerville, Ohio, to Scott and Jackie Whittaker. She spent her youth enjoying the things she loved, especially playing basketball and soccer. She was a 2015 graduate of Centerville High School. Erin went on to graduate from Park University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and most recently worked as a Certified Medical Coding Auditor.
Erin was a proud mother to her five-year-old daughter, Delilah. Erin’s greatest joy was being Delilah’s mother, and she cherished every moment she had to snuggle her daughter. She was also the “World’s Best Aunt" to her sister Megan’s children, Brice, Harper, Hadley, and Stella. Erin loved making memories with the children, whether it was having dance parties, baking together, doing makeup, and endless laughter.
She was always there for the people she loved, with a fiercely loyal heart and a spirited, feisty personality that made her unforgettable. She had a bold, determined spirit and was never afraid to speak her mind, stand up for what she believed in, or defend the people she loved. Her laugh, sense of humor, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed.
She will forever be remembered for her beauty, the scent of lavender that surrounded her, her passion for cooking for others, her love of cheetah print, the Dallas Cowboys and singing along to Morgan Wallen.
Erin is survived by her daughter, Delilah; her parents, Scott and Jackie Whittaker; her brother, Kevin Whittaker; her sister, Megan Whittaker; nieces, Harper, Hadley, and Stella; nephew, Brice; and her grandmother, Hannah Gravino; and numerous friends.
Erin’s loss will forever leave a void in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will live on through Delilah, who was the light of her world; her nieces and nephew, whom she loved dearly; and the many others who were fortunate enough to know and love her during her short 29 years on Earth.
