I just heard about Esther and I am still in shock. She was a sweetheart. I knew her from when she worked at the Main Library and saw her often at WC and Belmont. I don't believe I ever saw her without a smile. She will be missed.

I worked with Esther at the West Carrollton Branch. To know Esther is to respect her for her dedication towards her work and her love for her family. She spoke to me about retiring soon. I am sadden retirement did not come to fruition but know she is at rest. Family, may God ease your pain and sadness!

What an unexpected loss - Esther will be missed by so many people. Her family most of all but almost as much as those who worked with her. My heart & prayers go to all who knew & loved her.

When I first came to work at the Belmont branch I was terrified of Esther, but I soon grew to respect and admire her. I will always remember her intelligence and strength of character, as well as her devotion to her family and to the library. I truly enjoyed getting to know Esther, and will especially miss our lunchtime conversations about books, family, and pets! My thoughts and prayers are with the family she loved so much.
