Evelyn Bernice "Bernie" Vines

VINES, Evelyn Bernice “Bernie”, age 84 of Centerville, passed away peacefully Monday, June 20, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. Bernie was born on September 30, 1931 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late John and Gladys Crooks Webb. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ernest Vines and granddaughter, Elizabeth Zainey. She is survived by her children, Beth (David) Zainey, Wes (Marianne) Vines, John (Jan) Vines, Jane Vines, Robert Vines, Sherry Vines; nine grandchildren, Juliana (John) Crist, Ben Vines, Emily Zainey, David Zainey, Jami (Ed) Fernandez, Erin Vines, Rachel Vines, John E.Vines, and Alecia Vines; 8 great grandchildren; and her brother, Dr. Charles (Joyce) Webb. She is also survived by special friends Larry and Elena Midolo. Bernie was a graduate of Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Lexington, Kentucky. She was a R.N. with Miami Valley Hospital, Medical Associates of Xenia, Lincoln Park, and for Dr. Welsh. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, Centerville women’s Civic Club, and the Indian Hills Garden Club. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429.
