

He was born on August 8, 1947, in Columbus, OH, and was raised by Gordon and Mary (Robinson) Hawk, who preceded him in death along with his brother, Richard.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Scheidler Hawk, and a number of cousins.
He graduated from Fairborn High School in 1965, then from Northrop University in California, with an Associates Degree in Aviation Maintenance. He worked for many years at the Airport in Vandalia, working for various organizations, the most recent, Emery Air Freight, as an Aircraft Mechanic.
He was a member of Greene County Fish and Game and was an active instructor for the Ohio Department of Wildlife Hunter Education Program. He was also a member of the Beavercreek Fire Department Auxiliary as part of the CERT Team. Formerly an instructor at Dayton Dog Training, he was active in taking his therapy dogs to visit local hospitals. He was a member of Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. The family asks that people wear masks during the visitation. A private burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, OH.
