Frances A (Smith)Wagner passed on June 30, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on December 6, 1931, in New Lebanon, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Wagner of 50 years, her parents, Kenneth and Vesta Smith, and her sister Sharon Seitz. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Deborah Wagner of Austin, Texas and daughter Terri Wagner, sister Juanita Green, nephews and nieces Douglas Seitz , Diane Seitz, Ron and Kathy Wright, Randy Wright, Bill and Mary Wright, Karen Head, Mary Wallace, Kevin Wagner and other numerous relatives and friends. Fran was a member of Aley United Methodist Church and attended Trinity Community of Beavercreek Chapel where she was a resident. She was active in the PTA of Kennedy School for the Deaf for many years. She was a 1949 graduate of Stivers High School and an Alumni member. Fran had retired from Sinclair Community College after 23 years of service. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff,at Trinity Community, for the care that was given to their mother.
Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio, on July 9, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Frances will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery, 2500 Neff Road, Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Miami Valley Baptist Church, for the Deaf and Hearing, 1642 Bartley Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45414.
