Frank Lawrence Duvall Jr.

Butch was born in Powhatan Point, OH to Frank Sr. and Juanita (nee Carmichael). Butch was a proud Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient who served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base where he worked in Shipping and Receiving, and he continued working as a cargo delivery driver after retirement.

Butch was a dedicated fan of the OSU Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. He loved nature and, above all, spending time with friends and family. All who knew him appreciated his sharp wit and ever-present grin.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kay; his brother, Terry; his sisters, Carolyn Kernich, Maxine Terry, and Melda Enos; his parents; and his West Highland Terriers, Heidi and Cody, whom he adored. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as grandkids Kristin, Amanda, Kayla, and Katelyn, who affectionately referred to him as “Papaw.”

Easygoing, kind-hearted, and generous, Butch had a tremendous impact on the lives of those close to him. Though he will be greatly missed, the joy he brought to friends and family will not be lost, and the memories he leaves behind will remind us to smile.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00am at Byron Cemetery in Fairborn, followed by a celebration of life at 12:30pm at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek.
