
Gale Wendell Marshall Age 68 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed peacefully on February 2, 2017. Gale is survived by his wife Karen, two daughters Christina and Jana and Son- in -law Joe Westhoven, brother Neil Marshall, Aunt Myrna Manor and many wonderful cousins. Gale was born on November 26th, 1948 in Alpha, Ohio to Nan (Crawford) and John Wendell Marshall. He graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1967 and received his Master’s in Education from Wright State University. Gale’s first passion was stock car racing at Kil-Kare Speedway which was founded and owned by the Marshall Brothers. Gale began his career in education at Beavercreek High School where he taught Social Studies, Sociology and was especially known for his elective course, Human Relations. He also founded the extracurricular group, student mediation and counseled numerous troubled teens and adults in support groups. Gale was beloved by his students and fellow colleagues. Gale was always up for an adventure outdoors and enjoyed running, hiking and boating. He loved spending the weekends with his wife, Karen at their farm in southern Ohio. Gale was the ultimate family man whose sense of humor, sarcasm and compassion for the environment and others will forever be missed by his family and loved ones. A Sharing of Stories will be held from 5 PM – 5:30 PM on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd with a memorial visitation to follow until 8 PM.
