Mr. B was the best neighbor to us growing up. He was a great gardener, wood carver and allowed me to drive him nuts almost every weekend spending the night with Tracey. He made us Barbie beds and forts to play in. A great man with a big heart. Thanks for being a great neighbor to our parents and us kids. Rest In Peace, love you. Kim Van Winkle.

Gary and I are cousins and my first thought of him when he passed was how much he loved family. We are quite a few years difference in age “l was the younger one” and he can over to our house on Baltimore St in OND all the time to visit us especially my mom his aunt Kate Gates. After he married Mable she came to . He liked to tell jokes to us little ones which half of them I didn’t get but l laughed anyway. One time he carved a wooden scenery for my mom and dad and we all just loved it. It was so long ago l can’t remember what it was but l looked at it all the time, my brother has it now hanging in his house - still in the family - l think he would like that. You will be missed by so many family and friends - - RIP Gary

I did not know Gary, but Mabel Ann and I are first cousins of the same age and have known each other all our lives. Since her marriage to Gary, I have never been around her that she wasn't talking about him. You could see the love she had for him shining in her eyes whenever he was mentioned. Gary had to be a good, good man to have someone as kind and caring as she is, in his life.
