Geneva was a kind, sweet, quiet, gentle lady who had the most infectious giggle ever. She was always smiling and warm, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family deeply—her husbands, her parents, her siblings, her children, stepchildren, and all her grandchildren. But most of all Geneva loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and serving Him. She served over the years as Sunday School teacher, choir member, social activity leader, deacon’s wife, and church council member. She deeply loved being a homemaker and her homes showed that—clean, organized, and full of good things to eat. She loved entertaining and making family dinners and holidays. Her chocolate and peanut butter fudge was sought out at large family Christmas dinners.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands-Charles “Bob” Turner and Steve C Lewis, and her parents, Ronald J and Sarah Irene Courtney. Geneva also lost her brothers, Benjamin, Victor, Ronald, and Teddy Lou Courney; her sisters—Irene Jenkins, Helen Fowler, and Alice McLane, and her stepson, Wayne Lewis. She is survived by her sister, Jane Lemons and brother, Gayle Courtney. She is survived by her children, sons Charles R and Michael; daughter, Linda Benson along with their spouses. She is survived by her stepchildren—Steve and Terry Lewis and Judy Danishek along with their spouses. She is survived by 23 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren. She also has 9 great, great grandchildren.
