Throughout his life, George worked in the tool and die industry as a machinist, a profession he was dedicated to and excelled in. He was a man of many interests and hobbies, particularly enjoying his annual trips westward to ride his Harley on the Pacific Coast Highway. His love for adventure was matched by his affection for spending time with friends and family.
George is survived by his son, Chris Phipps, daughter, Jennifer Nunn, his grandchildren Emily (Joshua) Patterson and Erika (Brice) Fornshell, and his great-grandchildren Nicholas, Myles, Mason, and Ava. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Gay. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Phipps, his daughter Lisa Phipps, his brothers Charles and Steve Phipps, and his sister Doris Braden.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 29 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 8135 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45414.
