Poske, Gerald J. (Jerry), age 91 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at his home. Jerry was born on Wednesday, October 17, 1934 in Dayton to the late Joseph and Catherine Brabant Poske and also preceded by his sister, Mary Lou Poske. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marilyn; children, Jeff (Terri) Poske and Lisa (AJ) Kilbarger; his brother, David (Jackie) Poske; nieces, nephews, and all of his family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Jerry was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1953. In 1954 he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in Japan. When he returned he was employed in the insurance business and later he was employed by ARAMARK and worked at General Motors Truck and Bus Plant in Moraine. After his retirement he went on to work at Moraine Country Club.
Jerry enjoyed playing softball and golfing with family and friends. One of his proudest moments was getting a hole-in one at Community Golf Course. Jerry will be deeply missed and remembered always by his family and friends.
