So strange, I thought of you just the other day. We did have great times when you sang at The Guys and Dolls. You were a great little singer and entertainer. Just thinking of you makes a happy heart. Fly high Gerri!

Gerri Diamond was my introduction into the rock & roll night club scene. She single handedly made me a fan the first time I watched her perform. I still have her records in my library, among them are "Give Up On Love" and "My Little Soldier Man. She was one of a kind. Guys N Dolls' Nite Club tried a comeback, but never made it, and I often thought that was due to no Gerri Diamond, Carol Edmondson & the Driving Winds, and The 2 of Clubs.

I was so very sorry to hear of Gerri's death. I attended Belmont Elementary school with her and even at that early age she demonstrated a great talent. I remember very clearly the day she was allowed to bring her guitar to school and sang Jambalaya, Crawfish pie. Billy Gumbo.I did always wonder if she continued her career after she left Dayton and was happy to learn that her dream was realized. People come in and out of our lives and there are some who leave you with fond memories and that is why I had always hoped to see Gerri again. Apparently, that wasn't meant to be. Obituaries don't necessarily reflect the quality of a life lived but I am hopeful that Gerri had a happy life filled with love and family.
