Gladys M. Logan, age 85 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born and raised in Owingsville, Kentucky to the late Hoyt and Cathrine Purvis. She moved to Dayton and she met her late husband of 61 years Clyde where they raised their family. Gladys worked several places throughout her life but most recently she was the manager of the Spin City Laundry. She was known as the “South Park Cat Lady”; who affectionately fed and cared for all the stray cats in her neighborhood. She was a true and faithful friend to many and was known to be quite the firecracker. Gladys was also a big University of Kentucky Wildcats fan but her most cherished pastime is her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Grooms and step-daughter Brenda Logan, along with five sisters and three brothers. Gladys is survived by her grandchildren: Michael(Danielle)Grooms, and Ceara Smedley, son-in-law Mike Grooms, great-grandchildren Hunter Grooms and Austyn Smedley, sisters: Louise and Dottye Pervis, and a host of family and friends. Arrangements were completed by the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-Beavercreek Chapel.
