Dear Grandma Gladys: What an honor and a privilege it was to get to know you over the past couple of years. I enjoyed our conversations and hearing all about your life lived in the Dayton, Ohio area, working at Rikes, about your sheltie Molly, and various stories you told me of your life. I enjoyed every word! Sharing my two shelties with you, Buca and King Solomon was so fun because you enjoyed them so much. Buca loved making you laugh while bringing the ball back to you each time you threw it up in the air or across the room. King Solomon was content quietly lying next to you in the chair on your blanket while you petted him. Thank you for those special moments. Thank you for appreciating my shelties so very much and thank you for allowing me to call you Grandma! I came to love you for the special, kind natured, sweet lady you were. What a pleasure it was to be with you! God showered you with incredible blessings when he gave you Don and Linda. No one could have been more attentive to your needs. I know you are still smiling that gorgeous smile in Heaven. Until we meet again....

I didn't know her long, but enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk with her on the cold winter Saturday nights last winter. I will miss her, but know that I will see her again in Paradise!

Dear Grandma,
Thank you for the blessing of sharing the last two and a half years together. Thank you for trusting Donnie and me with your care. Thank you for caring so deeply about us. Many thoughts come to mind as I reflect on the time God gave us to share life together. The bond that you and Lauren enjoyed will be forever a joy for me to carry. She misses you. You fold clothes better than anyone I know:) You taught me to use toothpicks and to love Lawrence Welk again. You never stopped asking about how I was doing, even when you were suffering yourself. You were always so grateful for everything done for you. I will never again sit on our swing, enjoy the flowers and the birds, or sing in the sun room without thinking of you. God gave you a long life here and now you are experiencing the forever life with Him that He promised you when you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. What peace and joy that gives us all. Loving you still and always.

Grandma Mac, we will miss you each and every day. You were such a sweet person and fun to be around. You always had the biggest, brightest smile on your face and that brought joy to us and others. I will never forget coming to visit you and Grandpa Mac in Ohio when I was a little girl or watching you and Logan talk, play, read books and sing. We are blessed to have known you for as long as we did. I am thankful that God brought you home to be with him and Grandpa Mac. You are no longer suffering and we know that you are now at peace. We love and miss you Grandma Mac.
