BLICKLE, Gordon H., Age 80 of Centerville, OH and Union, KY, passed away September 7, 2018. He was born July 9, 1938 in Zanesville, OH, the son of the late Gordon and Emilie Blickle. He was the beloved husband of Marlene Blickle. Gordon graduated from the State of Ohio Police Academy and Macomb Community College in Police Administration. He had a long career helping others, including jobs as an OH State Highway Patrolman (5 yrs), DT&I Railroad Detective (15 yrs), and Bureau of Workman’s Comp Re-employment Specialist. Gordon was a renowned expert and passionate collector of turn-of-the-century toy trains. Football was another favorite pastime, whether playing in high school and college, or rooting for the Bengals and Buckeyes. In addition to his wife, Gordon is survived by 3 children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren: Gordon (Paula) Blickle and sons Jeff, Tim (Becca) and Ben; Gayle (Rick) Reilich and children Adam and Alexandra Jones; and Michael (Hether) James. A Celebration of Life and interment of ashes will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6430 Far Hills Ave, Centerville, OH 45459. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church or Hopeful Lutheran Church, 6430 Hopeful Church Rd, Florence KY 41042.
