Mr. Gregory G. Brewer

BREWER, Gregory Gene "Greg" Brewer, age 58, passed away on Thursday June 21, 2012, in McAllen, Texas. He was born March 3, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, to Eugene and Alma Rhea (Shouse) Brewer. He attended Belmont High School. He served his country faithfully as a United States Marine from 1971 to 1991, when he retired as a Gunnery Sergeant. He married Hyo Sun Chong on Jan. 29, 1983, in Santa Anna, Calif. Greg found enjoyment in the simple things in life, such as family, friends and his dogs Butch and Muttly. He was preceded in death by his mother Alma and his brother Don. He is survived by his wife Hyo Sun, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Matthew, father Eugene, sister Gwen, brother-in-law Terry, brothers Scott and Stephen, sister-in-law Stacy, brother-in-law Sang Kil, sister-in-law Young Sook, sister-in-law Miae Yu, brother-in-law Yoon Hong and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends whose lives were touched by Greg, are invited to his viewing Saturday June 30, from 5-8 pm, at Tobias Funeral Home - Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave. Dayton, OH 45420 with a military honors service at 5:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
