Gregory Grewe

GREWE, Gregory A., Sr. “Tank” aged 61, passed away on October 22, 2018 at the Dayton VA Hospice. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio Greg graduated from Patterson Co-Op Night School and joined the US Army in 1978. He was promoted to Sergeant and served as a tank commander. He was honorably discharged in 1988. He is a life member of Ohio Amvets, Post 9. Greg worked as a machinist and retired from Johnson Electric Co., Vandalia,Ohio in early 2018. He was preceded in death by his Father, Douglas E. Grewe, Sr. He is survived by his Mother, Irene Grewe; his daughters Sanna Brown (Isaac) and Jackee Grewe of Mitchell, IN and his son Gregory A. Grewe, Jr. (Hope); brother Douglas E. Grewe, Jr. (Don); sisters Pamela Richards (Jack), Diane Mahle, Belinda Wagner (Rick); grandsons Devin and Daniel Lee and several nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends at the Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. on Thursday, November 1 from 5-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 20 West First Street, Dayton, Ohio on Friday, November 3 at 11a.m. Burial will follow at the Dayton VA National Cemetery.
