Greg married Carol in 1979, and their marriage spanned 46 years.
Greg attended Wright State University, studying first chemistry and then computer science. Though he didn’t finish a degree there, he later attended Toccoa Falls College, where he earned a degree in Teaching English as a Second Language before ultimately returning to a lifelong career in computers.
His professional path included work with English Language Institute China, technology roles at Azusa Pacific University, and, eventually, founding his own business, Servantware Computers.
Greg held deep Christian beliefs that shaped his decisions throughout his life.
He had a sincere heart for Christian missions and a particular interest in China. He spent seven weeks there on a missionary trip when his sons, Ben and Josh, were just 5 and 3.
Greg lived for many years with Parkinson’s disease, and throughout that long decline, Carol’s care was constant and faithful. Their partnership was marked by mutual commitment and a shared desire to live a life that served and glorified God.
Even with Parkinson’s Disease, his sense of humor stayed intact. He loved sci-fi—especially Lost in Space, Isaac Asimov, and Marvin the Martian—and talked often about wanting to visit Mars someday. He was convinced that human innovation (and maybe Tesla) would eventually sort things out.
Greg is survived by Carol, their children Ben (JJ) Josh, David (Kaci), Sarah (Nathan), Rebecca (Martin), Abigail (Matthew), Luke and five grandchildren: Samuel, Aidan, Revan, Ari, and Ryan.
