Harold W. Huwer

Huwer, Harold W. (Hal) age 84, of Kettering, Ohio passed away Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Kettering Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn and is survived by his son Michael, daughter Lisa, his grandson Christian Huwer, who is serving his country in Afaganistan

As an Airman in the United States Air Force and his wife Courtney Huwer who resides at Barksdale AFB with Harold's great grandsons, Landon and Mason. He retired from Lewis and Michael, Inc. in 1989 after 20 yrs as a salesman. Hal was born and raised in St. Mary’s, Ohio, graduating from Memorial High School in 1945 where he was active in high school sports. Graduated from Cincinnati College of Embalming in 1950 and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer, served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII. He formerly was employed part-time at Sycamore country Club and John Smith’s Brown derby Restaurant as a Matri’D. Graveside Services 3 pm Thursday June 30, 2011 at David’s Cemetery 4600 Mad River Rd Kettering, Ohio 45429. Arrangements in care of Tobias Funeral Home- Far Hills Chapel.
