Helen Marie Ferguson Gomez

GOMEZ, Helen Marie, 74 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. Helen was born February 5, 1947 in Dayton to the late Lewis E. Jr. and Mary G. (nee Davidson) Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Edward L. Elliott Jr., James Daniel Elliott, Jack A. Elliott, Richard L. Elliott, Virgil Ferguson, David Leroy Ferguson, Lewis Ferguson Jr., Beverly Snyder, her beloved pet dog Chubbs.

Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her children Frank Gomez III, Antonio “Tony” Gomez, Melissa D. Gomez, Jonathan Cameron, special grandson Frank Burns. Also surviving are her grandchildren Antonio Gomez II, Sophia Gomez, Gavin Gomez, Rylee Holcombe, Eliott Cameron, Amelia Cameron, Riley Francis, Dayveon Lee Smith, Carl Lamont “CJ” Smith Jr., Linda Sue Hammond, Cheyenne Cameron, sister Theresa (Mike) Millsap and beloved pet dog Bubba.

She was a 1965 graduate of Stebbins High School. Helen enjoyed helping others. She would go to the food bank and then deliver the goods to families who couldn’t get there themselves. She enjoyed crocheting and especially being with family.

Helen’s family will receive friends at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton – Xenia Road, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 starting at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm with Pastor Mike Berry presiding. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
