

She is preceded in death by her parents, Flora McLarren Robertson and George Darlington Miller Dow.
Helen is survived by her children Michael (Destiny) Franklin and Heather Blanton; Her grandchildren: Kelli, Trevor, and Corey Blanton, great grandson Finnley Rollyson, sister Mary Federer, nieces Paula Severns and Holly Knox and several grand nieces and nephews.
Helen proudly served as a beautician for over 50 years helping others look and feel their best. She was recognized for her strong leadership qualities early in her career and managed salons of Shilito Rikes, Lazarus, MEI, and Elder Beerman stores. Helen retired as Regional Vice President for Elizabeth Arden Salons. After her official retirement, she decided to work part time as a beautician serving several local Senior Living Communities.
Helen was well known for her generous spirit. She helped support St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital through her membership to her sorority organization Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a sorority focused on leadership, friendship, and volunteering. She also volunteered her time to the Franklin Community Food Pantry each week and spearheaded the annual backpack project, where she gathered school supplies and backpacks for children who were going back to school.
Helen was a member of Farmersville First Baptisit Church and loved Jesus, her family, and her friends. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren by attending choir performances, baseball and volleyball games, musicals, and every special occasion in between. A true matriarch of the family, she will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen’s honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
