Meng, Benjamin Hsien Chunxage 87 of Centerville, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Hospice of Ohio in Dayton. He was born in December 28th, 1930 in Taiyuan City, the largest city in Shanxi Province in North China to the late Chao I Meng and Jang Yang Chi. He came from a close family of seven. Unfortunately, two of his siblings passed away early in their childhood. He was the youngest of three sons, followed by two younger sisters. He is survived by wife of 59 years, Mayte L Meng, daughter Sheila Meng, two sons Benny Meng and Danny Meng, and total of 7 grandchildren; Rachel Au, Vincent Meng, Joshua Au, Spencer Meng, Derikson Meng, Jillian Meng, and Josephine Meng. He will be missed by his descendants, family, friends and all those who loved and respected him. He was always a ball of energy, constantly on the move and engaged with life. Even into his mid-80s, while he was officially retired, he still had active business interests. He was a man with a great sense of responsibility to his family, to his Chinese American community, and leaves behind an example of great willpower, independence, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The family will receive friends at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429 from 10 am until time of service at 12 noon, Tuesday February 13, 2018. Burial will be in David’s Cemetery following the service. We thank you for your kindness to our family during this time of bereavement. While we understand that energy can neither be created nor destroyed – meaning that we will cross his path again – the emptiness we feel at this moment is just a reminder of the love, light, and energy that was Mr. Benjamin HC Meng.
