

Engel, Imogene N., age 91, departed this world on Saturday, August 11, 2012, with her family at her side. She was born in Harriman, TN on September 30, 1920 to Lela (Davidson) and Rutledge Nicholas, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Donald A. Engel and two brothers, Carl and Alvin Nicholas. Imogene is survived by her children, James (Karen) Engel, Donna (Turner) Osborne, Jerry (Dale) Engel, Rhonda (David) Boos; grandchildren, Mike and Scott Engel, Todd and Gwen Osborne, Sheila Ebel, Heather and Brian Boos; great grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Engel, Andrew and Olivia Osborne, Kendra and Nolan Ebel; step great grandson, Jarett Engel; sister, Pauline Curtner; brother, William Nicholas; family friend, Linda Evilsizor and numerous nieces and nephews. She was retired from Inland Division of GM after 31 years of service. Imogene was a member of Aley United Methodist Church and the 1938 class of Roosevelt High School. She was a Past Matron of Beaver Valley Chapter #570, Order of the Eastern Star and also served as the Grand Representative to Nevada and a Grand Page to the Deputy Grand Matron of District 18. Imogene was also a Past Queen of Azizah Temple #57, Daughters of the Nile. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Aley United Methodist Church, 4143 Kemp Road, Beavercreek, OH with Pastor Ken Kirk officiating. She will join her husband at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens as a final resting place. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 with an Order of the Eastern Star Memorial service being held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Burns Hospital in Cincinnati, OH or to the Order of the Eastern Star ESTARL, Cancer or Heart Funds.
