Jack Gregory Kammer

Jack Gregory Kammer passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2025 at the age of 64. He was a dedicated man of God who gladly put his whole heart into everything he did. He was a loving husband of 41 years, an enthusiastic father of two and grandfather of five, a loyal employee at his architectural firm for 28 years, and a beloved children’s and youth teacher at several churches over the years.

Memories of Jack are guaranteed to involve the ways he made laughter a priority. His joyful spirit was contagious, and his willingness to go all in on a joke just for the chance to make someone smile and feel more at home will always be an inspiration. Equal to Jack’s love of humor was his creative mind. He saw potential in nearly every item at the thrift store, turning abandoned objects into a prop, a game, or an elaborate set design--everything from building a spaceship and teleporter, to a ten-foot-tall wooden T. rex. These projects would bring excitement not only out of every kid, but also bring out the kid again within every adult.

When he wasn’t working his job as a draftsman or getting ready to teach his Sunday lesson to the kids, Jack preferred to go the way of the sloth and live a peaceful, simple, easy life. He loved going on walks, taking care of his chickens and garden, playing silly games with his grandkids, and reading his Bible.

Jack is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Clough); his two daughters and son-in-law, Kristi (husband Nathan) Reese and Janae Kammer; his three siblings and their spouses, Shelly (husband Steve) Sargent, Rhonda (husband Jim) Gastin, and Scott (wife Kim) Kammer; his five grandchildren, Hailey, Avarie, Everly, Mya, and Gabriel; his 9 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jo Anne Kammer.

We will gather to celebrate Jack’s life on Saturday, January 3rd at Parkview Church of the Nazarene at 4701 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, OH. Visitation is 11 am - 1 pm with the Celebration of Life service starting at 1 pm.
