Dear Lynn & Family

I heard today that Jack passed away. I am very sorry for your loss and that I did not have a close connection to him. My grandfather Eual was Jack & Dale's uncle. I recall meeting Jack once, I think at Charlotte's funeral, and possibly at Eual's service. Indeed his Uncle Eual would be proud of him and his accomplishments. They appear to have shared a generosity of helping others with things mechanical. 

The pictures you've posted of Jack and his early years are of familiar people and places. The picture of Sandy, Dale & Jack appear to be at Sandy's house at Candy Run. The tricycle picture may have been taken at Eual & Bert's house. I recognize Aunt Catie (sp?) and Dale. 

His uncle Sandy relayed to me a story from the late 1950's. He and Jack walked to a bar in Anchorage and Jack walked out with a job on a surveyor's crew for the summer.  

Again my sympathies at Jack's passing. May God's peace and comfort fill your hearts in the coming days.

To Lynn, Carla, Mark and the Family:  
We are so sorry that we have all lost Jack.  What will we do without his text messages, phone calls and emails about life, politics, and of course, our beloved UD Flyers basketball.  We were so blessed by his kindness, generosity, and most of all his friendship.  We just wish it could have lasted a few more years longer.  He was bigger than life and will be sincerely missed by all who knew him.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I know  The past few weeks have been extremely difficult but you should be at peace that Mr. Jack is now at home with the Lord. I am very sorry for your loss and wish I could be there today with you all to hug and comfort you. Carla be strong as the woman I know you are. Love and hugs Lane family.

Dear Lynn, Carla, Chris and family,

Your husband and father meant so much to me. He was a loyal friend to my dad and always had a smile and a hug whenever I was in town and stopped by at their workplace. He was also there for dad in the hospital and it was comforting to know dad had such a good friend. I didn't realize Jack was ill as I live out of state. He had kept in touch for many years sending an occasional cheery email with some meaningful, uplifting message he wanted to pass along. Many of his emails told the message of Jesus Christ and His saving grace. I know where Jack is today and although I am sad he is no longer with you I know he is rejoicing and happy and healthy. 

My prayers are for you today and in the days ahead. Grief is difficult but I pray you receive the inner strength that only God can give you.

I am sorry I can not  give these sentiments to you in person on Friday. I dearly wish I could. Your online tribute to Jack is beautiful. He was a wonderful man.

Lynn and family,
one of the storms we all must face in our lives is the passing of someone dear to our hearts, we are sorry you are facing this right now,but I know you are strong enough to get through it.
Vickie and I will never forget your friendship and all the good times we were able to spend together.
Jack had a positive Impact on so many Lives ( gifted is an understatement) Vickie and I are so happy to have had both Jack and Lynn as a part of our life for so many years.
Ill never forget the sound of your voice Jack, thanks for the advice you have given me and my family over the years and most of all THANKS for your service to our country.

Lynn, Carla and rest of family, I just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you during your time of loss. Sorry that you have this loss to your family. I will be unable to attend the services as I’m out of town with family. 

Grandma Lynn, Momma C, Mark, Ellie, Mike, and especially my most dearest friend Katie Elizabeth, I'm so very sorry for your loss.  I'm so happy to have met Grandpa Jack during a wonderful trip to Dayton in college and hear about his engineering quests.  Sending all my love to you all.  Miss you very much and hope to see you soon!
