A lifelong resident of Dayton, Ohio, Jacqui spent 32 years sharing her deep love of books with others as a dedicated reference librarian. Outside of work, her life was filled with the things that brought her genuine happiness: tending to her flowers, driving around to look at Christmas lights, and indulging in really bad science fiction movies. Above all, she loved music and was always happiest when she was listening and singing along to her favorite tunes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Vicory, and her husband of 29 years, Donald Howey. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Travis and Teresa; her best friend of 30 years, Therese Williams; her dear friend and colleague, Lynda Stookey; her step-sons and their families: William, Andrea, and Julia; James, Sarah, James Jr., Grace, Andrew, and Annabelle; and Fredrick, Ashley, Caroline, and Raegan; alongside a lifetime of friends and wonderful cousins who brought so much joy to her world.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.
