Jim had a kind spirit, a loving heart to all that knew him, the protector and rock to all of his family.
A true servant of God, he loved his family fiercely. He never had an unkind word or judgement for anyone. It has been our greatest honor to love and be loved by him. He dedicated himself to God and Family and was very active at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Centerville, Ohio.
He is survived by his children, Karen (Jeff) Marsh, Larry Combs (Jennifer Matcham); grandchildren, Whitney (Kenny) Razor, Jordan (Elaine) Marsh, Joshua Marsh (Carsyn McGuire), Ashley Combs (Chris Huffman), Courtney Combs, Lawrence (LJ) Combs (Corey Shaver), Benjamin Combs, (Jenna Girolamo); and great grandchildren, Jeffery Razor, Polly Blue Razor.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Paulene “Polly” Combs; his parents, Marjorie and Lorin Combs and his sister, Martha (Marti) Thevenin
Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM followed by Celebration of Jim's Life of at 11:00 AM at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave, Dayton Ohio, 45459. Reverend Dr. Nancy Birdsong officiating. Burial will be at Centerville Cemetery, Centerville, Ohio.
