James Carl Davis age 68 of Dayton passed away Friday April 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret & Carl Davis, mother-in-law & father-in-law, Fannalea & Clay Lowe. Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sandie Davis; his children: Edward (Teresa) Davis of Piqua, Gregg Davis of TN, April (Larry) Bolden of TN and August Davis of Dayton. He has 3 sisters, Carole (Jerry) Horton, Diana (Nelson DeMoss and Barbara J Davis; his grandchildren: Mariah & Matthew Kelley, Brittany& Tiffany Davis of TN, Summer Davis and many nieces, and nephews; his best friend Mike Eiresman and all his neighbors and friends. Jim belonged to Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Jim’s favorite things he loved to do were fishing and Nascar, and his dog Andy. Funeral Service will be held 1 pm Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave. with Pastor Melvin King officiating, burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 11 am until time of service at the funeral home.
