

James H. Grigsby, age 72 of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva (Short) and Hermit Grigsby, two brothers, Bryant and Jackie Ray Grigsby and a sister, Malvary Ann Grigsby. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gwinna L. (Cockrell) Grigsby. Three sons also survive him: Larry (Dana) Grigsby, Gregory (Jackie) Grigsby and Calvin and wife (Kelly) Grigsby, as do seven grandchildren: James, Destiny, Lyndsey, Kristen, Macy, Whitney and Savannah, all of Huber Heights. He is survived by one sister, Angeline Grigsby (Halcomb) of Williamsburg, KY, and numerous other relatives and friends. James was born February 8, 1941 in Bulan, KY and was a 1959 graduate of Cordia High School. He married Gwinna on October 22, 1966. The couple moved to Dayton where James worked at Chrysler for 30 years until his retirement. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Wednesday evening, August 28 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 29 with Minister Walter Tolley officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden following the funeral.
