James B. Heider, age 84, passed away at Oak Creek Terrace on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Zeona Heider, son, James Heider, sisters; Alice Hancock and Rosemary Bever and brothers; Frank, Paul, Charles and Thomas Heider. James is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan Heider, sons; John Heider, Stephen (Karla) Heider and Richard (Tammy) Heider, grandchildren; Michelle Thomas, Ryan (Lydia) Heider, Sara Heider, Trevor, Evan and Erik Heider, Mikal, DeAndre and Kiara and great-grandchildren; Evelyn and Aubrey Heider. James was a longtime employee of NCR and a United States Navy veteran. A memorial mass will take place on Thursday, October 6th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St, Dayton, OH 45410 with burial to take place at Dayton National Cemetery following mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in James’ memory can be made to The St. Anthony Parish, or Hospice of Dayton.
