Kline, James (Jim) age 82, of Beavercreek, OH entered into his eternal life on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. He was born January 1, 1944 in Dayton, OH to parents Elwood and Beatrice (Miller) Kline. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, 2 granddaughters and brother in-laws, William Dayton and Wayne Reaster. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 66 years, Sharon (Sue Reaster); his older sister, Nancy Dayton; dearest friend of 64 years, Dean Dixson. Jim is also survived by his 4 children; Ronald (Jill) Kline, Todd Kline, Michelle (Daniel) Sharp, Jennifer (Zach) Dean. Jim leaves behind 14 grandchildren and spouses; 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He also leaves behind his spoiled dog, DaisyMae. Jim was a 1962 graduate of Patterson CO-OP, he went on to attend Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.), Rochester, NY where he obtained his AAS in 1964 and BS in 1966 respectively. After graduation Jim moved back to Dayton, OH where he worked for a few years at Standard Register and Wayne Colorplate. Jim then went to work for 33 years at Monarch Marking-Pitney Bowes/Paxar Monarch/Avery Dennison and was named in 10 patents. Jim was a 50+ year member of both Peace Lutheran Church of Beavercreek and the American Czechoslovakian Club of Dayton, both of which he served in various capacities over the years. He was a previous member of the Masonic Temple in Dayton. Jim had a love of family, woodworking and took his family on many memorable family vacations over the years. A special and heartfelt thank you to Crossroads Hospice and their amazing/loving staff for their care and support over the past 7 months. Funeral services under the care of Tobias of Beavercreek, will be held at Peace Lutheran Church of Beavercreek. The viewing will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026 at 5pm-8pm, funeral services to be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11am. The interment will be at Willow View Cemetery, 2500 Neff Rd, Dayton, OH. There will be a luncheon held afterwards at American Czechoslovakian Club of Dayton, 922 Valley St, Dayton, OH. In lieu of flowers, Jim wished for donations to be made in his honor to Peace Lutheran Church, American Czechoslovakian Club or Crossroads Hospice.
