

LIVINGSTON, James William Jr. (Major USAF Ret.) age 61 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Constance Livingston and father James William Livingston Sr. He is survived by his daughters Heather Livingston, Erin Livingston, and mother Helen Livingston. Jim’s greatest aspiration was to serve his country and never missed an opportunity to thank veterans for their service. In 1978 he joined the United States Air Force where he served until his retirement as Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineer and rocket scientist. During his career he worked with the United Nations and N.A.S.A. After retirement he worked as an Engineer in the Civil Service. He was a longstanding member of Dayton Lodge #147, F&AM, achieving the 32nd degree in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Jim loved to grill, spicy food, taking road trips in the mustang convertible with his wife Connie, and spending time with his girls. He was a loving, devoted husband and father who will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 11:30 am.
