Jim often told us that it was love at first sight when he met Elna Darlene in January 1946, so they married that August and were inseparable until her death in 2011. Jim loved watching sports, he was an impassioned student and teacher of the bible, and he took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Jim never hesitated to express his point of view and left an impression on everyone who met him. A viewing will begin at noon on Monday, November 26, 2018, at Woodland Mausoleum, followed by service at 12:30. A memorial luncheon will be held at Marshall Road First Church of God, where Jim worshiped for many years. Services have been entrusted to Tobias Funeral Home- Belmont Chapel.
