

McKENZIE, James A., 90 of Dayton, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2012. He was born in Fleming, KY on October 26, 1921 to the late Mary (Hall) White and James M. McKenzie. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Stephania; brothers, Charles and Glenn McKenzie; and sisters, Esta Davis and June Smith. He is survived by daughters, Naomi (Edward) Bentley of Bellbrook, OH, Stephanie (Chris) Ferguson of Woodbridge, VA, and son, Philip (Gail) McKenzie of Georgetown, TX; grandchildren, Matthew Bentley, Robert and Steven Ferguson, and Taylor, Logan and Joel McKenzie; also numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was a graduate of Bellbrook High School, and was a veteran, serving in the US Army Air Corp and US Air Force. He retired from WPAFB Logistics Command after 35 years of service. He was a long time member of Immaculate Conception Church where he was a member of their choir, and the Knights of Columbus. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff and residents and caregivers of The Grand Court Dayton in Beavercreek, OH and the staff of Acclaim Hospice for their loving care, attention and friendship. Prayers 10 am Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call 5 – 8 pm Monday, October 22, 2012 at the funeral home.
