I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Ray He was a good friend to Gordon and me. I remember the many times that I visited with him at Ray's Electronics,then visited with him and Dee at home. What a kind man! The world will miss him, and especially, I will miss him.

Lee and Lu Davis met Beecher and Doris when they were staying with Lee's brother Ray and his wife Nan when they came back from being in the service back in 1955. They were also the adopted aunt and uncle for Lee and Lu's daughter Leanne. Beecher and Doris introduced Lee and Lu to western square dancing back in 1973 and were the angels for their lesson class. We traveled all over the country with JB and Doris square dancing for over 20 some years. Lu tells a story about when they were over at Ray and Nan's house at Christmas time and Beecher and Lee were on the floor playing the board game â€œconcentrationâ€ they could clear the game board by making all the matches but neither could figure out the puzzle. This entertained everyone all afternoon. We know that JB is now in heaven with Doris and may he rest in peace.

My love and my prayers are with all of you at your loss.I never knew Beecher the way I got to know the rest of you. But hearing Patty talk about him he was a wonderful man.Now he is at peace and with the love of his life.May God Bless and keep all of you through this time.

I loved Uncle Beecher and Aunt Doris like I love my own parents. Their love for one another was inspiring to me and many of my family members. For 30 plus years, I have begun each day looking at a picture of the two of them, and remember every day what wonderful people I thought them to be. I felt a kinship to them that I cannot begin to explain or express this message. Over the years Uncle Beecher and Aunt Doris seemed to be glue that held everyone together. I was honored to have Uncle Beecher give me away at my wedding and to share that moment with me; and to share a name with Aunt Doris (and my own daughter). I cannot imagine what our family would have been like if it were not for their love and kindness. Uncle Beecher defined what “good people” is by every action he took. Now, my Uncle Beecher can rest forever with the love of his life.

What a remarkable man, He was more than just an Uncle to me.  In my youth he was a father to my sister and I.  Uncle Beecher was the one that made us laugh, he was the one to hide the eggs, he was the one who played Santa EVERY Christmas, took us to square dancing with him and Aunt Doris, bringing us on family trips.  We'd run back and forth between houses and we loved every minute of the time we shared with them both.  

Looking back at the memories and the time shared with Uncle Beecher (and Aunt Doris) I never once heard him say anything cruel, or unkind... He had such a big heart and always ready to help someone else, to lend a hand wherever needed... He always had a joke to tell, and made everyone laugh and  feel welcomed... I loved him so much, and he will forever be in my heart, the cherished memories will always be with me.

My Dear Sweet Uncle Beecher...I sit here and smile because I know you and Aunt Doris are together again.  Never been 2 people that loved each more. Thanks for all you have done for me and my family.  How growing up right beside you, going on vacation with you.  Even having me drive your motor home are stories and memories that will be with me forever. No matter what time a day or night it was call you and you were willing to go or take you, get you whatever you needed. This world is a better place for having the grace of you and Aunt Doris. How I will always cheerish the love you had for everyone.  Love Cindy

James was my friend at heartland.  My dad is there, and I just loved how he smiled and was so friendly.  He saw that I was left handed and use to tell me that his sister was left handed and she used to tell him left handed people are smart.  Then he would ask me if I thought left handed people were smart.  He then went on to tell me I'm not going to argue with anyone who is left handed.  I just want the family to know I will miss his smile.  My prayers are with the family and friends of James.
