We have such fond memories of the years we lived across the street from Jim and Fran in Butler Township.  They were incredibly nice to everyone, and he was one of the funniest people we knew.  We are sending thoughts and prayers, Fran!

Dearest Aunt Fran,  
Uncle Jim will live in our hearts forever.   No one could make a laugh harder than he could.  His funny jokes, quick wit, and sincerity were unmatched.   We have a lifetime of memories with him..... from listening to disco in the 70s, to punk rock in the 80s.    He was the coolest of cool.    
Heaven is truly rejoicing with his sweet Irish soul.    At last, he’s resting in the arms of Jesus.

Fran and Sheehan Family Members,

I knew Jimmie years ago while working in the Montgomery County Courts. He and his dad would visit on occasion and entertain the troops.  They would always make us laugh and we loved every minute of it!  Their humor was priceless!

I’ve been friends with Jim since first grade at Corpus Christi. He’s always been an upbeat person. Loved to come in the restaurant (my old one) and get Greek quesadillas. Jim was a great guy. He will be missed by many. 
Sorry I couldn’t attend the funeral services.  Monday I had back surgery I don’t get out of the hospital til Thursday.

I remember with a smile the times we had in North Dayton, and your generosity in allowing me into your home for the many parties you had.

Jim, like his father, had the ability to converse with anyone and make them feel completely at ease, immediately.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim’s passing.   I went to Corpus Christi school with Jim.   He was always a good guy with a great sense of humor.  I will keep the entire family in my prayers.

In the late 90’s my roommate Kris Bergman and I use to have a monthly Women Fourm on Saturdays that Fran came to. Jim and his side kick Jim R did not think this was fair. It was just excuse to day drink and eat with women.  They would complain about discrimination.  They would show up late and we would tell them they had to talk like a women. Jim S would make us laugh so hard acting like a women. It made our afternoon😂

Even though I have not seen “Jimmy” in 50 years, after this news was forwarded to me it is sad to hear. We have so many great memories of summers in Dayton on Manhattan Avenue visiting my grandparents and cousins three doors down from the white house at the corner of Manhattan and Bellevue. Sheehans and Fisters remain legends in our family, Jimmy was always such a good guy. Easy going, fun to be around, we had so many adventures. Even with his passing it is heartwarming to read of his rich family life and friends, which is no surprise. He was a good man from an early age. May his memory be eternal.

Stacy and I are very saddened to hear of Jim’s passing.  For a couple years, we were members of the Heatherwood swim pool.  Jim  was so incredibly sweet to our little girls.  They would light up whenever he walked through the gate.  He was a great guy to share a laugh with and he will most certainly be missed.  We pass along our condolences to all those who loved him as well.

Sheehan was the funniest man I ever met. Even when he was sick he made me laugh. Put him and Tim together and I would laugh like a fool. They told me a lot of the same stories. Fran gave him everything he needed and wanted.  I will miss him like a brother. 

Jim Sheehan was not only a great neighbor, but a  great person  to share a laugh with.  Jimmy seemed to know a  lot about everything and everyone.  Growing up next door to the Sheehan’s, there was always some kind of game. Basketball in the alley,  football on Bellevue,  and baseball on the corner.  Rest In Peace Jim, as you used to call me, BIG BRIAN FISTER

I am so saddened to hear of Jim's passing.  We had not been in touch for many years and I did not know he was ill.  He was so loved by all in our Corpus gang;  so funny,  very nice, and always full of life. 

Memories are always cherished but they become even more dear when they are our only contact with those we have loved. 

My deepest condolences to all of Jim's family.  I know words do little to ease the pain but I pray for your peace.

Our most sincere condolences to Fran , Maureen , and Patti for the passing of Jim . Good  man , horrible illness , the world has lost an interesting man .
