James “Jim” Wuebben Jr., age 68, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on August 12. 2026. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 23, 1957, to the late James Wuebben Sr. and Patricia Wuebben. Alongside his parents Jim is preceded in death by his son Chad James.
Jim is survived by his Sons; Brett (Allison Ward) Wuebben, Ryan (Hannah Coleman) Wuebben, Tyler (Megan Lencke) Wuebben, Siblings; Cathy (Greg) Jackson, Mike (Gina) Wuebben, Julie (Jon) Martin, Tom (Cecille) Wuebben, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim graduated from Carroll High School in 1976. He went on to serve with the Beavercreek Police from May 1979 to January 2016. In 1985, he was honored as Policeman of the Year. He also worked at Lofinos.
Beyond his career, Jim found joy in collecting commemorative coins and police memorabilia, and a devoted sports fanatic across both men’s and women’s divisions—there was almost always a game or ESPN on. He also gave generously of his time, coaching his boys’ sports teams and volunteering as a leader in Boy Scouts.
Those who knew Jim will remember the standards he set through everyday actions: he arrived early, kept life in order with careful organization, and showed up reliably for the people who counted on him. Above all, he will be remembered as a great dad.
Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Dayton, OH 45432, on August 18, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Prayer Service will follow at 12:00 pm. A Committal Service will take place at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409, on August 18, 2026.
