

James J. Wuebben Sr., age 83 of Centerville, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Dayton to the late Frank and Odelia (Hummer) Wuebben, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Wuebben in 2012, as well as a grandson, Chad Wuebben in 1983; two sisters, Marjorie and Dorothy; brother, Richard, step-brother, Joseph Hanerty and step-sisters Vivian Kolvek and Kate Schwieterman, He is survived by five children: daughters, Cathy (Greg) Jackson of Bellbrook and Julie (Jon) Martin of Bellbrook; sons, James Wuebben Jr. of Beavercreek, Michael Wuebben of Kettering and Thomas (Cecille) Wuebben of Florida; grandchildren, Katie, Joseph (Kelly), Matthew and Daniel (Sarah) Jackson, Christine (Patrick) Toscani and Lucas Martin and Patrick, Maya, Brett, Ryan and Tyler Wuebben, and two great-grandchildren: Emma and Aubrey Jackson. He is also survived by a brother, Tom, and a sister, Ruth, as well as special friend Robert Gaeke and goddaughter Mary Gaeke. James was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a purchase analyst at DESC, retired from WPAFB as a procurement specialist and volunteered at the US Air Force Museum. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a former member of St. Luke Parish. Friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Saturday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church or Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements are in the care of TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME.
