Jana, I miss you. Wes, my thoughts are with you. 

I have so many fun and happy memories of Jana.  We worked together at different times, but she was much more a friend than  a coworker.    I would give anything to see Jana one more time.  Although we didn’t see each other regularly, when we did see each other, we really connected.  I will be making a greater effort to stay in touch with the special people in my life  now.   I want Jana’s family to know that she was appreciated and loved by so many people.


Jana Lehman, our little sister,  was sincere and generous with her time.  Jana will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I remember when Jana was born. It was immediately after a tornado damaged the family home. She was the first newborn baby I had ever seen. I was so excited to have a new girl cousin. Even though Jana and I spent little time together when we were young, we did reconnect as adults and these last few years have been special. She was so happy to be married to her sweetheart, Wes. I will miss visiting with Jana, but she will always be in my heart. I look forward to seeing her again in our Heavenly home.  My love is extended to Wes, Ron, and David.  Love, Kathy 

My husband and I came to know Jana through our church.  In addition to seeing her in church services we saw her at different social events  held at the church.  She was always interesting to talk to and enjoyable to be around.  She had a sweet smile and positive attitude.  She will be a loss to all who knew her.  Our deepest sympathy to her family.


Jana and I were colleagues in academic advising at Sinclair.  We shared a number of fun times, attending national and state advising conferences.  Jana was thoughtful and smart, so friendly and caring, a beautiful person inside and out.  It is so sad that she has left us so soon, but she made this world a better place.  My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I worked with Jana in the 1990's (she at Indiana University East and I at Purdue Polytechnic Richmond)  She was always a pleasure to be around.  She was genuine, sincere, gentle, and kind.  She was one of the sweetest people I've ever known.  The world will miss her, but the good work she did in education and the people she helped will be her legacy.  I pray for peace and comfort for her family and friends.

I became friends with Jana in the past few years but especially in recent years.  She was always pleasant and upbeat.   She had a delightful spirit.  Our brief visits on her back deck this  summer always left me amazed and inspired by her focus on the positive.  
Jana loved the out of doors and nature and enjoyed flowers and growing vegetables.  She shared happy memories of trips she had shared with Wes.  
 Although she was very sick, she seldom spoke of her illness but focused on the birds and garden in her yard.  She talked of books she was reading or movies she had watched.   She showed me a picture she had painted and I was very impressed with her artistic talent.  She really enjoyed the gluten-free peach pies a neighbor baked for her.
Jana was gentle and kind but she also had an inner core strength.   She fought cancer fiercely but also faced the possibility of death with grace and tremendous courage.
I will miss her friendship and will always admire and respect this remarkable woman.  I was very lucky to have known her and I am humbled that I was able to share this challenging time with her.   Her deep faith was evident.  She is now pain free and at peace.  My sympathies go out to Wes and her family.

Condolences and prayers for Jana's family. We were classmates at Eaton High School, and I remember Jana as a very wiity and intelligent girl. Rest in Peace, Jana.

I am so very sorry to hear the news about Jana. We worked together at Sinclair and I was also her trainer at the Kettering Fitness Center. Such a warm, giving person with an infectious smile. May she Rest In Peace.
