
HOSTY, Jane Hoyne, age 63, of Washington Township passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy Hoyne O’Brien and William Hoyne, stepfather Jack O’Brien, and a stepbrother John Dee O’Brien (Mary). Survivors include her children, Katie Hosty and Larry Hosty Jr.; Former husband, Larry Hosty Sr. (Nancy); sisters, Nancy McGuire (Bill), Patty Hall (Jimmy), Kathy Smith (Joe), Maureen Patten (Dave), Tee Hoyne; stepsister and stepbrothers, Mary Anne Klein (Carl), Mike O’Brien (Jane), Tom O’Brien (Sharon), Terry O’Brien (Kay), Dan O’Brien (Colleen); and myriad of beloved nieces and nephews. Jane was a Realtor in the Dayton area for 25 years, most of which was spent at Irongate Realtors. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Little Exchange, a proud and enthusiastic member of the Grindettes Bowling Team, a former member of the Christ Child Society, the Women’s Board of Children’s Medical Center, and a former Booster of Alter High School. Jane was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s College and an avid Notre Dame football fan. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Monday September 12, 2011 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 218 K Street Dayton, Ohio 45409. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Jane was the world’s best Mom to her children, a fantastic sister, a loving and loyal friend to everyone, never knew a stranger, and always had a “new best friend.” “To make a long story short,” Jane made up for not speaking until she was three years old by spending the rest of her life constantly chatting, laughing, and making the world a more fun place to be.
