Mrs Day (that is what I always called her) was a very nice lady.  My son and I moved across the street from her and her family over 40 years ago.  She had a smile on her face all the time.  You could tell she really enjoyed whatever she was doing.  I will miss seeing her.  You are all in my prayers.

What began as colleagues became a life long friendship.  We shared the joys and sorrows of this beautiful journey.  I will be forever be "29" thanks to Janet.  My 29th birthday card always arrived on time. She made me smile.  She was a true friend,a devoted wife and mother and a deliriously happy GRANDMA.   Janet was also known as a huge chocoholic !  
Jean Ann and Terry, you were your mom's life, she loved you dearly.  The title of grandma brought even  more love in to her life.  Watching Jessica and Valerie become happy, accomplished women brought her such joy.
Janet was a strong, independent role model for us all. 
I am honored to have been her friend. 
 You all are in my thoughts at this difficult moment.

Janet was a kind person & I always enjoyed visiting her class with my puppet, DUSO! We shared both laughs & tears as we sorted thru the many challenges of 5 & 6 yr olds.

With Deepest Sympathy

Janet was a truly incredible woman. She stayed strong and independent throughout her whole life. Janet never really retired. She was on the go helping out her church and tutoring Kindergartners in the HHCS system among many other things. Janet was an amazing mother and grandmother. Her eyes lit up when she talked about her granddaughters Jessica and Valerie. I have no doubt she’s looking down from heaven right now and smiling at her beautiful family. My heart aches for all of them and the void this will leave in their lives. Janet was a tiny lady, but she made a big impact on many people’s lives including mine. If the Lord is willing and the creek don’t rise I will see her again on the other side. I know she’ll save some chocolate for me. ❤️

You have my deepest sympathy.  Janet was a good teacher and friend.  I know your family loved her as much as she loved you.  The staff of Rushmore was blessed to have her in our family.

I worked with Janet at Rushmore Elementary for the early '70 until the early 80's, often in the room next door.  She demonstrated a fine example of the excellent education residents of Huber Heights looked forward to.  She was always warm and welcoming to all; children, colleagues, and parents.  I rarely saw her without a smile, even when she was having some challenge or other.  I also got to know her children, who reflected her friendliness and sincerity.  Although I am sorry for your loss. Janet was such a positive presence in your lives, your memories of her will last in your hearts and minds.
