Dietrich, Janet Lee, age 78 of Beavercreek passed away on September 2, 2015 after a long battle with cancer and a short stay at Hospice. She was born to the late Irene and Laurence Hockwalt on April 5th 1937 in Dayton, OH. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Dietrich and grandson Christopher Dietrich. She is survived by her loving husband Dale, son Douglas Dietrich of Dayton, daughter Deborah (Michael) Creech of Beavercreek, sister Mary Ann Lyons and husband Jack of Grandbury, Tx., sister in law Gloria Warner and husband Rex of Beavercreek, step brother Al Aleixo and wife Marie, grandchildren Amanda Dietrich, Amber Dietrich-Chavis, Brandy Rubke, Kimberly Chabot, Kelly Creech, and Dale Dietrich, great grandchildren Madison Day and Jace Creech. She also leaves behind numerous relatives and friends and will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. Janet retired from St. Elizabeth Medical Center where she worked in communications. She loved good food and socializing, and was always the life of the party. She spent many summers boating on Norris Lake, entertaining family and friends. She was an avid quilter as well as crochet and cross stitch. She enjoyed a good book and loved to laugh. During the winter she looked forward to spending time in Florida and loved Daytona Beach. Dale, Janet’s husband, has been a compassionate care giver and advocate during Janet’s illness, a true testament of the vows they took 60 years ago. They celebrated this amazing milestone anniversary on July 30th 2015. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm September 8, 2015 at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. with a Memorial service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
