Jan has rejoined her loving Husband, Norbert Barhorst in heaven in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Oh, what a Glorious Day for her. She could not wait for the day to be with her” Sweetie”. Jan was born March 15, 1949 to Charles and Alice McHugh who proceeds her in death.
Jan is survived by her Daughter, Kimberly Friend of Piqua, Oh. Grandchildren, Misty Selanders of Sidney, Oh, Christy ( Justin) Hilleary of Troy, Ohio, James ( Jessica ) Mote of Bradenton, Fl , Gabreal Felton of Piqua, Oh, several Great Grandchildren and Great- Great Grandchildren. Brother, William ( Argie) McHugh of Clayton, Oh and her dear and special friends Denise Shaw and Barbara Robertson and her dear kitty, Dahlia.
Preceeding Jan in death is a Brother, Joseph McHugh.
Jan is a graduate from Stivers High School, Dayton Oh. Jan loved reconnecting with her classmates and the activities they have arranged together. Jan would tell stories of how much she loved her class and was a loyal Stivers High alumni. Jan is also a retiree from the State of Ohio, where she was a computer specialist.
Jan enjoyed fishing excursions with Norbert and friends to Canada and several other places they would go. The Best Catch of hers was of course Norbert! Jan was an avid crocheter and enjoyed making heartfelt items for friends and family with her talent. Jan also enjoyed going to the Senior Center of Beavercreek and the activities they would offer and making new friends.
When Jan would visit Heartland of Beavercreek when Norbert was an inpatient, Jan would walk around the building visiting other residents there, which she felt compelled to do, that was just one of her many heart felt missions that God led her to do. Jan has traveled to the Holy Lands, Honduras, as well as many other places that were sponsored by Church Missions.
Jan had a great love for her family and friends and she will be dearly missed. She was a very special woman.
Jan's Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Christian Assembly of God in Dayton, Ohio located at 327 S. Smithville Road on July, 16th 2020.
Family and friends will be received beginning at 1:00P.M and services will start at 2:00P.M Tobias of Beavercreek are entrusted for arrangements.
