Janice Kring

Janice Kring, born on July 12, 1934, passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Kring, in 2020. She was also preceded by a sister, Joann Fleet and a brother, Tommy Arnett. Janice was a resident of Jamestown, Ohio. She is survived by two children: Linda McLane and Dan (Bev) Clark. Ten grandchildren also survive her: Joey, Ben, April, Ben, Luke, Sam, Ana, Brady, Jenna and Macy, as do sixteen great grandchildren and a set of twins on the way. She is also survived by a sister, Sharon (Dick) Alread. Janice held many positions in her life, including proprietor of Jenny Lynn's Beauty Salon, Realtor at Kingsway Realty, Head Teller at Third National Bank, and Central State University Baseball "Team Mom". She spent many years in clowning and was associated with the Carolina Clowns for 32 years, providing entertainment to the ill and infirm. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Jamestown Church of Christ, 152 W. Washington St. from 10 AM until 12 Noon. Funeral will follow the visitation at Noon Friday with burial in Silvercreek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton in Janice's memory.
