

Jarred “Jerry” Haney, 79, Centerville, OH died peacefully at his residence on Monday August 18th at 6:15 pm.Jerry was born Dec. 27, 1934 in Morgan County, KY and resided in the Dayton area a majority of his life. He was a 1954 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School, proudly attended the University of Dayton, and served his country in the Korean War in the Navy aboard the USS Siboney.Jerry retired as a custom residential home builder operating his own business for over 45 years. He was a past president of the Dayton Area Home Builders Assoc.He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Haney; his brothers, Edwin Stamper and Dean Haney: his children: Beth Haney & fiancé Kevin Remmy , Sean Haney and Leslie Booher & fiancé Ronnie Crowe: his grandchildren Duncan Haney Slocum and Kaleigh Slocum; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved; with special mention of Gerald and Jan Stamper and Cecil and Carol Gibson; and his special angel Jeannie Brooks. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rosa Cochran; and numerous brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles.Visitation will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH on Saturday the 23rd from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, with a short memorial service following.Jerry never met a stranger. He loved life, his family, his friends, and his country.
