

Jean Barbara Walter (née Wild), born on June 23, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on September 17, 2024, at Bethany Village in Centerville, Ohio. Jean was an avid bridge player, a hobby that brought her much joy and friendship throughout her life. She was the previous owner of Kettering Office and Drafting Supply / Art Supplies of Town and Country. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation for more than 60 years and was actively involved in several organizations at Incarnation. Her love for her family and friends was evident in everything she did.
She is survived by her sons, Leo Walter of Bellbrook, Ohio, and Herbert Walter of St. Petersburg, Florida; her grandchildren, Brian Walter, Leo Walter, Kathleen Walker, Edward Mahaney-Walter, and George Mahaney-Walter; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; her daughter, Dona Jean; her parents, Elizabeth and George Wild; and her sisters, Jacqueline Allman and Joann Lambers, both of Cincinnati.
The visitation and funeral mass are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Monday, September 23, at the Church of the Incarnation in Centerville, Ohio, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio. The Tobias Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.
