

Jeanne Marie is survived by her two children, Anitra (Patrick) Gardner and Andrew (Marcy) Barnett; her three grandchildren, Jackson Gardner, Marshall Gardner, and Annaliese Gardner; her life companion of 32 years, Gene L. Heisey; her stepmother, Ann Morrison; her brothers, Greg Morrison and Jerry Berry; her sister-in-law, Donneitta Morrison; her brothers-in-law, Tom Snow and Mike Hall; and her nieces and nephews, Terri Whittridge, Kathy Mayberry, Grant Hall, and Clayton Hall.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elfreda (Biser) Berry; her father, George Morrison; and her three sisters, Carolyn Snow, Patricia Talbott, and Lorraine Hall.
Born on February 11, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, Jeanne lived a life marked by love, kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family. She touched the lives of many through her generous spirit, warm heart, and unwavering support of those she loved. Jeanne was a devoted mother who found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, creating lasting memories through family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments. Her compassion, wisdom, and gentle guidance will remain a lasting influence on all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Jeanne enjoyed working for Centerville City Schools as a bus aide supporting special education children. She enjoyed speed walking and traveling with Gene, including trips from Switzerland to Germany. She was talented at crocheting and knitting, creating unique blankets, winter hats, and scarves for family and friends. She also treasured time with Gene at his farm up north, whether driving a skid loader, camping in their RV, or simply enjoying the outdoors. Jeanne was known for her kindness, sense of humor, faith, generosity, strength, and creativity, and she had a remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
Jeanne Marie’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, but her love, lessons, warmth, and caring spirit will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to her family and friends for generations to come.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, OH 45429, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle Five Points Road, Centerville, OH 45458.
