Jennifer Braithwood

Jennifer K. Braithwood (nee Danner) (70) of Riverside, OH passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her parents: Raymond and Geraldine Danner, and two brothers: Terrance Keller and Jeffrey Danner.

Jenny was a loving mother to Raymond (Angela), Michael, and Andrew (Shelbie). She was also a doting grandmother to Cameron, Noelle, Zachary, Krystal, Madeline, Maximilian, Emma, and Bradley. She will also be missed by Erin (a special niece) and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and the rest of the neighborhood.

She was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in Emmaus, PA, graduated from Dieruff High School, and attended Philadelphia General Hospital’s School of Nursing, and moved to Devon, PA after graduating. She spent over 40 years as a nurse practicing and teaching the nursing arts, most of it spent as a geriatric care specialist.

Jenny was a active member of St. Helen Parish and taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a call taker for the St. Helen St. Vincent de Paul Conference. She volunteered extensively throughout her life including working with the youth group, choir, church council, and High School Confirmation formation at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Tabernacle, NJ.

She was always willing to help, not only in her community, but also the surrounding communities, using her nursing skills and her faith to reach out to others.

The family thanks all who have reached out with prayers, sympathy, and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

A visitation for Jennifer will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Rd, Riverside, Ohio 45431, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
