Jeredythe Helen Miske

Jeredythe "Jae" Helen Miske passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Centerville, Ohio, at the age of 85. Although her family deeply mourns her passing, they take comfort in knowing she was reunited with her beloved husband, Thomas “Tom” Miske, who preceded her in death.

Born on July 1, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jae grew up with a love of learning that led her to earn a degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She began her career as a third grade teacher before dedicating herself to raising her family and later assisting her husband, Tom, with his business, Environmental Engineering Systems. Jae was a devoted reading tutor and school volunteer who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

While Jae wore many hats throughout her life, the one she cherished most was that of wife, mother, and grandmother. Together, she and Tom created a home where everyone was welcome, laughter was abundant, and family always came first. She delighted in life's simple pleasures—whether it was attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting or school events, gathering around the table for a meal, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time with the people she loved most. Nothing brought her greater happiness than watching her children and grandchildren grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating special memories with each of them.

Jae had a gift for bringing people together. She loved planning and hosting company picnics and parties, opening her home to family and friends, and creating lasting memories through holidays, celebrations, and everyday moments. She embraced life with enthusiasm. Jae enjoyed golfing, playing tennis, lively game nights with friends, and sharing thoughtful conversations through her book club. Exceptionally creative, Jae was a gifted seamstress who taught sewing classes and found great joy in making beautiful things for others. Her lovingly handcrafted quilts and dolls became treasured family heirlooms, each one stitched with patience, talent, and love.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Carolyn (Kent) Falknor, Eric (Pam) Miske, and Laura (Nate) Bean. She was a devoted grandmother to Madeline and Abbey Falknor; Emily, Megan, and Katy Miske; and Jacob and Max Bean. She is also survived by her sister, Wendy Glisch Komula, and her brother, Gary Glisch.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH. In lieu of flowers, family asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
