Heindl, Jerome E., age 84, of Belle Center and formerly of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018, surrounded by his family at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Dayton, OH on February 28, 1934 to Omer and Irma (Zimmer) Heindl, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas and his step son, Mark Greene. Jerome is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Donna Greene Heindl; his daughter, Catherine (Allen) Bentley; two sons, Anthony Heindl, Timothy (Suzy) Heindl; step son, Michael (Dawn) Greene; a sister, Mary Ann Benges; grandchildren, David (Devon) Bentley, Isabella Heindl, Michael Heindl, Austin Heindl, Melissa (Jamie) Hobson, Anthony (Ann) Heindl,Jr., Kaylee (Justin) Clevinger, Harley Heindl; great grandchildren, Cooper and Riley Heindl, Maddie and Jackson Clevinger, Caroline and Ben Hobson, Colton and Taylor Bentley; step grandchildren, Miranda Greene, Michael Greene,Jr., Dana (Austin)Riley, Heather Greene; step great grandchildren, Hailee and Teegean Church, Braxton Riley. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a graduate of Chaminade High School. Jerome proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Prayers will be said at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Road. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to either The Hospice of Dayton or Immaculate Conception Church.
